Wow. It's been 4 years since I started this site. And this time I didn't forget the date. In fact, I visited early and made sure to write it down so I wouldn't forget.
And not only did I not forget, but I actually did something to celebrate. The forums have been out of commission for a really long while because I hadn't had time to update them. (They were actually running phpBB 2.0.4 code labeled 2.0.8.) Now I've updated them to the latest phpBB 2.0.22 and opened them back up for use. I've also cleaned up the spam user registrations and posts, so the forum's a bit cleaner now, too.
So, go post to your heart's content! Maybe I'll get other things updated, too. Or new content. Or something.
But don't get your hopes up.

Our 3rd Birthday Has Come and Gone
There's just something about February that draws me to this site. Unfortunately, it's always after our birthday (February 8th) has passed. On the bright side, I only missed it by 3 days this time.
As for the status of the site, I may have made some updates since the last time I posted some news, but I don't recall what it would be. But even if I don't ever update, I still love the site dearly. I don't expect what's here to be going anywhere soon.
As in the last update, I haven't had the time, willpower, or resources to make edits or add new information. Also, it seems that the only posts that have been made in a while have been from some strange bots that post in the guest-posting-enabled forums. As a result of that, and the fact that I haven't updated phpBB in a while, I'm going to turn of the forums. In the future, I do hope to get them back up and running in pristine condition, but that just can't happen now.
If you're interesting in helping out in anyway, I'll gladly accept the help. In fact, if you have any interest at all in the site, please contact me in some way, be it by e-mail or instant message. I mean, I can't feel too bad about not updating if there's no one around to even read the new updates, right?
Well, until there's good news to report (or until I miss the next birthday), nice typing to you.

I Missed Our Birthday AGAIN!
UGH! I missed our birthday for the second time in a row! And we've only had two! I really have to stop this trend....
Seeing as how I haven't posted a new update since August, I'd just like to say that I'm still alive. This have just been getting in the way of updating (and it's not as if I've heard any complaints from anyone that I don't update enough...).
I did some updating back in October, but I don't remember now exactly what those updates were. See the Site Map for which pages were updated at that time. I think it was just reformatting the XHTML there. And speaking of XHTML, during the past few days, I've begun working on converting the site to XHTML 1.1, with a content type of application/xhtml+xml. This seems to cause some trouble with Internet Explorer (what a surprise), so please, for the love of whatever you love, switch to a better browser! I recommend any Mozilla browser, but if you like the layout of IE, Mozilla Firefox tends to stick to that. There are also many templates/styles/themes out for it, so if you don't like the layout of IE, you could just as easily reskin Firefox. But please, please, please stop using Internet Explorer! My stats indicate that 74.8% of the visitors in February 2005 were using Internet Explorer, and 1.1% weren't even using the latest version! However, 17.7% of the visitors were already using Firefox, so thank you to them. I, personally, use Mozilla Suite, and that contributes to the 5.3% of visitors that do the same. There's also the 0.7% of visitors using Netscape, which is simply a rebranded Mozilla with a handful of proprietary features added (and one or two Mozilla ones removed). And for the one person who used WebTV to view my site, I thank you for visiting, but you deserve a smack for using WebTV to do so.
I don't know when to expect another update. Things are taking priority to this site, especially since it doesn't seem to have much of a following at the moment.

Missing Links, and More
Amazingly, I have another update to report. Well, actually, a few.
First of all, I believe I've added more to the Hearts page. This includes a few more images and a few more descriptions. That'll eventually all get done. (There are others to add, other than the ones that exist but are blank.)
Secondly, I've updated the Arsenal page with resized images, and such. Realize that, for many of the smaller images (usually screenshots, or derivatives thereof), I'm converting them to PNG. This helps to reduce filesize, and therefore loading time, which greatly helps those on slower Internet connections, such as dialup. However, this may mean that your browser (specifically, Internet Explorer) will have trouble displaying them. Because of this, and many other shortcomings of the Microsoft browser, LTTP.net officially recommends using one of the Mozilla.org products (for example, Mozilla Suite, Mozilla Firefox, or Mozilla Camino). Usually, other browsers, such as Opera or Safari, will have fewer problems than Internet Explorer would, so those are perfectly logical alternatives as well.
Thirdly, having run the Links page through W3C's Link Checker, I have determined that two of the websites I've previously linked to (namely, Hyrule Kingdom and Zelda Velocity) appear dead. As such, I have removed them from the page. If ever they appear to be working again, please reply to this post and I will re-add them to the list.
One final thing I would like to make note of is the change of URL for the shop. It is now located at http://www.cafepress.com/lttp/. The previously link worked fine, as it redirected to the correct page, but this change now prevents that. I would like to mention, though, that all of the products sold at the shop are out-of-date, and were never that great anyway.
So, as I said before, don't expect to hear from me until after Labor Day.

Minor Updates
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been busy with other things. (I could have sworn I updated on July 15, but that may have just been when I wanted to update.)
Over the past 48 hours (maybe more), I sporadically updated some things. Much of the time, I was playing Wind Waker for the first time since June 2003, but I also did a few other things.
I fixed a typo (one that I was shocked that I made) on the Site Map, which, incidentally, is where you can see when each page was last updated (minus the News & Updates page, since it's based on when the actual file was updated, and not when the last post was made). Mostly I worked on the Hearts page, though. I changed all the images to be a unifom 128x128, and I plan to do that for the rest of the similar images on the site. I also added a few more descriptions for the locations, along with some formatting changes to the page. I plan to do more of this over the next few days, but I doubt I'll be reporting it here.
Also, I would like to get a few more pages up as soon as possible: a Characters page, which lists people like Link and Zelda, along with screenshots or portraits of them; and also a very extensive Walkthrough, with screenshots of the many steps you have to take. The walkthrough will be very detailed, and as such, will take a long time to complete. I've already taken screenshots of the method that I use, up until Zelda is brought safely to the Sanctuary. I still have to actually make a page for it, but at least it's a start.
Hopefully, I'll be working more on this within the weeks to come, but once September comes along, I won't have much time until the weekends after Labor Day. Until then, this is probably my last (recorded) update. Maybe longer.

Layout Version 3.0!
Well, here it is folks! It's been exactly one year since the last major layout change, but I've been spending the past six months (give or take) working on this layout, and now it's here. New features include easier navigation, better categorization, an improved news system, and a site map with a list of all the pages on the site, along with the date of last update for each. Some page names have been changed: Items is now Arsenal, Contributors is now Special Thanks, and What's New is now News & Updates.
Currently, the forums are due for an upgrade as well, but I have not finished that in time for my personally-set goal of July 1st. Also, while more content has been added to various pages, certain pages are still not finished (even though they were started over a year ago
If you'll notice in the new banner (thanks to Mike, AKA dnoyeb2002), there is a guard with a cannon. That guard's cannon (in action) shoots out cannon balls with spikes on them. That guard, however, is not in the normal play action of the game. It appears that it had been cut out sometime during development. I plan to write a letter to Nintendo to find out information about it and a few other mysteries I have, as well as to obtain as much information as I can to what was cut from the game during development (similar to the great amount of data found about Ocarina of Time here).
I believe that's all the new I have right now, but check back for more in the coming days, weeks, and months (hopefully... seeing as how this is the first update since February
